The new GT has finally arrived! The GT has been fully engineered and designed to incorporate the latest in performance engineering, as well as significant ride and handling advancements.

The GT is powered by the upgraded 5.4-litre Boss V8 engine, producing 315kW of power at 6,500rpm and 551Nm of torque at 4,750rpm. Most importantly, the increased power does not compromise on fuel economy and in automatic guise; the GT boasts fuel economy figures of 14L/100km (ADR 81/01) a decrease in fuel consumption of 4.8 percent over the previous BF MKII model.

Matched to the performance is the Brembo braking package featuring 355 x 32mm cross-drilled and ventilated front rotors with Brembo 4-piston calipers and 328 x 26mm cross-drilled and ventilated rear rotors with single red piston caliper as standard. The GT also features the new TR6060 6-speed manual transmission as standard and also offers the technologically advanced ZF 6-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift, as a no cost option.

From a safety aspect, the GT comes with driver and front passenger airbags, curtain airbags plus front seat side thorax airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), 4-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and reverse sensing system.

Completing the package is the GT's bold exterior styling, including the striking new Mid or Dark Argent headlight accents, Black Chrome front grille, large rear wing, side striping and the V8 bonnet bulge accented with a newly designed Boss 315 hood decal. It's all about performance and the new GT delivers much more than ever before.

Features

ENGINE

The new GT more than lives up to its famous badge. With 315kW of Boss quad cam V8 power producing a phenomenal 551Nm of torque, it is the muscle car for the 21st century.

The Boss 315 has been completely re-calibrated to maximize response and driveability, whilst an improvement in volumetric efficiency allows the engine to breathe better. The extra breathing capability, along with strength and durability improvements made to the engine hardware, has allowed FPV to increase the maximum revs to 6,500 rpm.

Drivers of the GT will notice improved vehicle acceleration and overall driveability, along with a smoother idle and a better engine note.

A new six-speed manual transmission has been introduced with the FG FPV range - the new Tremec TR6060. The Tremec TR6060 is now fitted to all manual transmission variants in the FG FPV range - replacing the T56 six-speed manual on previous V8 sedan and ute models.

The GT also features the ZF 6-speed high-torque automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift as a no cost option. This high-performance automatic gearbox offers the driver the best of both worlds. Its Sequential Sports Shift system allows fast, clean manual gear changes to maximize all the available power for acceleration or quick downshifts. And when in full auto mode, the adaptive shift system changes characteristics to suit your individual driving style.

STYLING

Like the GT legends of the past, its styling is impossible to ignore. The bold exterior styling of the new GT is highlighted by the striking new headlight accents in Mid or Dark Argent as well as the large rear wing, side striping and V8 bonnet bulge accented with a newly designed Boss 315 hood decal.

The unique 19-inch wheel design in Alpine Silver alloy finish completes the GT high performance exterior package.

Inside, the GT features sports seats in Silverstone cloth with GT logo embroidery as standard with optional Nudo leather seats. The GT is packed with features to ensure a premium driving experience, including a sports leather steering wheel with cruise control and audio mounted switches, dual zone temperature control air-conditioning, 4-way power adjustable driver's seat, premium audio system, Bluetooth® and I-pod® integration and a reverse sensing system as standard.
